Re: Evan Coluccio Press Release

Have you ever dreamed of riding a beautiful horse? Have you thought about traveling the world competing on a horse? It is very rare that you would see a horse in New Orleans, much less be able to ride one! Equest Farm, the one of a kind equestrian stables in City Park has made it possible for all your dreams to come true!!

The stables in City Park, known as Equest, has become a thriving, bustling equestrian center in the heart of the city, offering riding programs for all ages. For many years, post Katrina, we have been successful with lessons, horse shows, seasonal camps and field trips. We are also the training facility for the Tulane Equestrian team. In keeping with the mission of Equest and recognizing the growth of the equestrian world both nationally and internationally we have expanded our horizons to bring the next level of equestrian sport to New Orleans.

Equest Farm is proud to announce the addition of Evan Coluccio as the new head trainer and rider for Equest Farm. He brings his international experiences of successful training and riding horses to the Crescent City. Equest welcomes Evan to our farm as he will allow us to compete at the national level as well as bring horse competitors from around the country to our city.

In 2014, Evan opened the doors of EMC International, which is a full service equine sales and training business. Importing and training the highest caliber sport horses from all over the world and training them to reach their potential as competitors in the show world has been the mission of EMC International. It has become one of the best sources to find horses in the United States which are guaranteed to have quality, talent and great temperament. The Coluccio name is well-known in the hunter/jumper industry. Evan is not only just one of the top hunter riders in the United States but he has successfully trained horses to win championships at all major horse shows.

Evan competed and won such competitions as the USEF Pony finals Championship, over 15 Championship titles at the Major Indoor Finals, and several Junior Jumper Championships both nationally and internationally. As he transitioned into the profession world as a trainer, he won the individual gold medal North American Young Riders Championship, trained multiple Equitation Final Winners and Junior/Amateur/Hunter/Jumper Champions and brought many young riders to Grand Prix success. He also trained 4 USEF Pony Champion Finalists as well as Grand and Reserve Champions. He is the youngest professional to so this.

As we move into our 17th year of operation, we are excited about the possibilities of international sport horse sales, competitions and USEF Boutique Horse shows coming to our farm. For those of us whose vision after Katrina was to simply return and achieve some semblance of normality, it is nice to be rewarded for our tenacity. We welcome you to become a part of our "Wonderland" and hope you will "Enjoy the Ride".

In closing, please find a note from Evan to all of you who would like to join us at the stables in City Park.

I have devoted my life to the art of riding/training horses and to further the sport of show hunters. I have extensively studied the art and science of breeding, training and selling high caliber sport horses and ponies. I aspire to consistently produce and train show ring champions, and to also bring along equines that are capable of excelling in all disciplines of international horse competition.

Through making use of my extensive experience and passion for the sport, I constantly strive to develop and improve horses and riders for the next generation. To me, show jumping spans history, speaks all languages and transcends age and gender with a contagious spirit. It instills dedication, courage, confidence and commitment in those that it touches. Show jumping reinforces a commitment to family and is often passed down from parent to child, as it was to me. There is no sport equal to this unity between horse and rider, and the feelings that it brings to those who are fortunate enough to participate.
