- Name and telephone number
- Age, approximate height and weight of the rider
- Experience level riding horses
- Days or times you are available to ride
Once you have scheduled your evaluation lesson, please bring the following items for your first lesson
- Cash or Check for $70
- Long pants and boots with a heel (some boots are available to borrow on site) NO TENNIS SHOES ALLOWED
- Optional: An FEI approved riding helmet (helmets are required to ride, but available to borrow on site.)
After you have scheduled your first lesson, plan on arriving at the stables 20 minutes in advance to come into the office to fill out our standard waiver and pay for your lesson. If you need to borrow a helmet or a pair of boots, allow at least 10 minutes in addition to the suggested 20 minute early arrival. All lessons run on the hour or 1/2 hour and cannot be delayed due to your tardiness.
Once you have completed your evaluation lesson, you will return to the office and if you choose to continue riding the following options will be available to you based on instructor approval after the evaluation.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Equest Farm has a 24 hour cancellation policy. You must call 24 hours in advance to cancel your lesson or you will be charged the full amount of the lesson price. Your horse is reserved for you and cannot be reassigned to another rider without adequate notice.
LATE POLICY:
We also have a 15 minute grace period policy for all lessons. You must be in the ring with your horse by 15 minutes from the start time of your lesson or you will be deemed a late cancellation. We ask that you respect this rule by showing up with enough time to adequately prepare for your lesson. In cases like these you will still be charged the full amount of the lesson price, as the horse and instructor were reserved and could not be used elsewhere.
